The Heart That Holds Our Family

Lyrics

[Verse 1] There's a quiet kind of strength In the ones who never boast, Who give without a word, Who love the people most. Some folks carry family On their shoulders every day, And through the years I've watched One heart light up the way. [Chorus] Oh Brenda, sweet and giving, Brave in all you do, You're the one who holds us, Steady, kind, and true. She's what holds our family together, Always there for everyone — A tender, gentle sister Shining like the sun. [Verse 2] You sit beside our mother With patience soft and warm, A shelter for us all Through every kind of storm. Your dogs curl at your feet, Forgiveness in your smile, You carry all the load And never lose your style. [Chorus] Oh Brenda, sweet and giving, Brave in all you do, You're the one who holds us, Steady, kind, and true. She's what holds our family together, Always there for everyone — A tender, gentle sister Shining like the sun. [Bridge] And when the days feel heavy, When love asks all you've got, Look at little Benjamin — The future's not forgot. [Verse 3] So watch that grandson growing, Let hope fill up your chest, For all the love you've given Comes back to you now, blessed. We just wanted you to know, Sweet Brenda, dear and brave, We're grateful for the caring, The endless love you gave. [Chorus] Oh Brenda, sweet and giving, Brave in all you do, You're the one who holds us, Steady, kind, and true. She's what holds our family together, Always there for everyone — A tender, gentle sister Shining like the sun. [Outro] So thank you, dearest sister, For the light that you have shone — You held us all together, And you're never on your own.
